A neighbor gave me 2 of these and I'm trying to figure out what I can do with them. I do a lot of outdoor Christmas decorating. I'm just trying to think of what I could do with these. I could add PVC pipe to these to Extend the ends up. But I still don't know what I could do with that. I would love to hear different ideas for the S.
PVC PIPE . This was used to hang some handmade jewelry but I thought it could be repurposed someway for a Christmas decoration
Hi Arnell it looks a lot like the start of an evergreen type of tree, why not ad another tier or 2 and make it an evergreen shape then cover it with LED string lights?
How about adding a few more pieces to make the frame into a star shape
With a base that solid, it would be easy to secure it from tipping over in the wind.
To keep the lights in straight lines without any gaps, the connection plugs between individual strands can be folded back and hidden inside the pipes, or back threaded through them. Zip tie the strings on to the PVC tubes.
If you decide to go with the project, post a picture to share here when it is finished. The holiday season may seem a long way off, but when November comes suddenly, you will be glad that you spent some of your spare summer time making new decorations.
This probably sounds dumb, here goes anyway. Wrap the PCV in aluminum foil and put flags in the open ends for the 4th of July. Display on the porch or lawn.
Paint it black to loose it in the dark and extend the pipes or use timber and add sparkling stars etc. You could dismantle it and reconfigure it to suit your needs at sometime in the future, when inspiration strikes!
I was thinking of "visions of sugar plums" where you could put colored candy looking things on the ends and paint the base black so it is kind of invisible at night.
It reminds me of the bottom half of a Christmas tree. Can you paint it green and add a top half. The extending pipes could be branches that you can hang ornaments on. Cool find!
I think they are cute...you could buy some hardware and glue them on...lol. Maybe not in your house, but somewhere. My cabinets have these blue glass knobs.

This is kind of neat, but you'd have to cut them: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=44ME6mwR8rU
Or maybe a snowflake?
Can you wrap the tubes in fake garland and add some lights? Then they could look like lighted trees?
Hello there,
Paint it black to loose it in the dark and extend the pipes or use timber and add sparkling stars etc. You could dismantle it and reconfigure it to suit your needs at sometime in the future, when inspiration strikes!
Ask neighbor what they used to for?
I’m thinking lollipops or candy canes.
I was thinking of "visions of sugar plums" where you could put colored candy looking things on the ends and paint the base black so it is kind of invisible at night.
