Fresh paint, new front door, added shutters, pretty windows and fresh landscaping
Paint-of course, new hinges and handles, shutters, wheeling ramp for lawn mower, small patio with furniture, painted accents on the outside, awnings, gut the insides and repurpose with shelves, window(s), insulation, electric, and drywall. Have fun with your project.
My first thought is a fresh coat of paint. If there is a window, maybe it needs to be replaced or you could put a window box under it and fill it with flowers.
Hello Chris,
Re- Paint, Re-stain, Re preserve, difficult to imagine with out pictures.............
Here's a post that might get you started - https://www.bobvila.com/slideshow/before-after-simple-upgrades-wake-up-5-tired-sheds-48748
A fresh coat of paint is likely the first thing to bring new life to your shed.
You don't say what the old shed is made from. Paint, cover with siding, etc are options. Removing it and rebuilding is option
Make sure you repair or replace any issues with rotted wood, rusted hardware, sagging doors, failing support structure, etc. Those won't go away with just a new coat of paint.
I would start with a new light and bright colored exterior paint and then perhaps you could update the roofing, too if the budget allows.
Does it need a new roof? A new coat of paint? Small changes like that can make something old new again!
Paint!
If the old shed is falling apart, is leaking, or is rotting, then paint will not be a magic wand that transforms it into a new shed.
Please post a picture of the shed so that we can see what you are starting with. Once we see what you have to work with, it will be easier to offer realistic suggestions on what you might do to improve its appearance.
Paint will give you the most bang for your buck!
