Tables edge ?
I was given a really cute table with a small raised edge, but someone had broken part of the raised part off. I want to replace it, but not sure what to do. I know I will get great answers for the DIY group, they are the best.

What material is the table made out of and what material is the edging made out of?
Hello there,
For a Square or straight edged table you can buy a hockey stick trim in timber and maybe plastic that would do the job. Look on the timber trims rack. If it is a round table, you can by flexible trim on a roll. Check out your DIY or online.
You can use silicone to make an impression of the broken are, which you can fill with wood filler and build up the missing section.
Make a mold with silicone caulking or hot glue on another part of the edging. Peel it off and use wood putty inside the mold you made to create a new piece. Glue it on to the table and restain. If it is a large piece you may want to replace all four sides. Tons of trim options at Home Depot.
It might be easier to change the look and eliminate the edge. Sometimes damage can give an impression of being an old piece of furniture.
