How to revive leggy, brown stem mint plant?

Hi agree with Barbara, I would cut it back. Usually when plants get leggy its because they aren't getting enough sun.

Pinch off the top batch of leaves and use them in tea. (10 tea bags 12-14 mint leaves to a gallon, sweeten if you like. Pinch a few at a time and they mint will continue to grow, just don't do them all at the same time. Make some mint jelly or use a sauce for lamb to use up the leaves or, chop up and freeze some in an ice cube tray. Half fill with water add mint freeze, top off with more water refreeze to cover and store in freezer for later so you don't have to waste the mint by having too much at one time. It will grow back. The plant was probably shocked by the different placement and amount of light and water. Mint is hardy. I just ripped out chest high stems last night from my garden, that is creeping to where I don't want it.

(if you make tea, chop or roll the leaves between you fingers before you steep with the tea bags to release the oils.)

It needs to be cut back. I use the mint leaves and make solar tea with it, delicious.

Mint can be very invasive make sure you keep this in a pot. Just give it a nice hair cut (trim) and this will bounce back. My mint loved lots of water and sun. A shot of fish fert. every week helps too.

thank you! do you guys have any recommendations for bugs eating the plants? i found little green Caterpillar looking things on the underside of the leaves. my sage and basil has holes too. i bought neem oil and have spray it for three days but they're still there.

You almost cannot kill mint. Cut it all back. It will bounce back.

I've had the same bunch of mint for decades. I cut it back and it does grow better. I would also remove it from the pot and plant it in the ground for best results. However, it spreads so make sure you have it in a contained area.

I am no expert on plants but I found found trimming them back will help them grow back in fuller. Make sure to save your mint you cut off. It should keep in the fridge for a while.

You might need to feed it. I use a micronutrient and it does wonders to bring plants back to life.
