No, it appears that there was some kind of spring-loaded pin that went in the top groove but it has broken off. I need to dig out the remaining pieces and find a replacement.
You can buy a roller repair kit or individual rollers to fit the track. Just screw them into the top of the door. Adjust the bottom rollers for smooth operation.
I think the top had spring-loaded pegs so I could place the doors in the groove. Not sure how the rollers would work. I don't have much extra space between the top of the door and the track. I'm a complete novice so please forgive any misunderstanding.
I am guessing that it’s eather loose or bent get a pliers I realy need to see it try to screw it in tighter it could be hanging down just a hair and that would do it.if not take a pliers and see if it’s bent and unbend the spots .you could also need some wD40 and just oil the tract a little.

Hello. I’ve had the catalog from this company they have a lot of unique and interesting hardware you may wish to see if you can find a match for your defective piece searching online.
Both Lowes and HD have a large assortment of hinge pins and door parts for both single and bi-fold doors . Bring the door and pictures with you. You might luck out.
So the top part that broke is a spring loaded locking mechanism? The easiest thing to preserve the style of the cabinet, would be if you could find a match to replace at a hardware store. sadly, i think that style of latch might be difficult to DIY. since it latches against gravity!

Is the spring falling out? If so, did it have a “keeper” or is the wood “wallowed out” the problem?

What exactly is wrong with the sliding door?
The top pins are broken off. I need to find replacements for them.
I would take the door with you to a local hardware store and see if they have something that would work as a replacement. Good luck and stay safe!
Thanks!
If you can't find replacement parts to make it work, have you considered taking off the sliding hardware and putting hinges on it?
The sliding doors are kind of neat, I used to have a bed with the sliding doors on the headboard...dates back to the 50's, it is a good concept!
You have a beautiful piece of furniture.
I agree with Cynthia. What seems to be broken I would take to the hardware store and ask if they have that piece. Or you can look online.
