How cute is this little utility station! I had seen these before but never outside and thought it would be a great addition to my new patio. This whole project is basically drilling holes!

Map out Grid

It's hard to see but I measured and penciled a grid onto my 2x4 piece of plywood. The birch usually has a more appealing grain. Each mark is 2 inches from the edge and 3 inches apart.

Drill holes

Using a 1 inch bit, drill your holes into the board.

Seal

Its always a good idea to seal a project and since this is going outside I did 4 coats of Polycrylic

Cut Dowel

I cut my dowel rod into peices to make my pegs. The length will depend on use. Some were long for shelves and some were short for hooks.

I also added these cute wooden hooks I got on Amazon

Hang

I used a masonry bit to drill into my brick and hang a french cleat but there are many ways you could choose to hang.

I accessorized and made shelves using scrap 1x4 pieces of wood.

What do you think?
