You can plant lemongrass or others they don't like. But my favorite thing is dynatrap. I purchased one 3 years ago and now there are virtually no bugs in the area. I know this is a DIY platform but sometimes you have to go with the most logical solution.

And, if they have the nerve to come inside, try this:
