Easy Vanity Upgrade
When I moved into my home, I found this old vanity in the back of the basement. A little primer and some paint gave it a complete 180!
The vanity wasn't in too bad of shape, although I sanded off some water damage on the sides, and reinforced the joints with screws. For all the details on this, check out the full blog post.
I love my orbital sander! It makes sanding go super quickly!
Once the repairs were done, I primed the cabinet with Zinsser's Oil-Based Cover Stain primer.
Then I painted the cabinet with Benjamin Moore's Gentleman's Grey. I used a 4" kitchen and bath roller for this part. It's not 100% texture-free, but it comes pretty close, and is way better than having visible brushstrokes.
I did a second coat, then let the cabinet dry for 72 hours before moving it back upstairs. I didn't do a topcoat, although if this were going in the kitchen I probably would have for extra durability.
