How to fix garage that floods due to low floor?

Is it coming in at the garage doors? We had that issue and my husband basically built a speed bump at the door. He used cap blocks, laid them the width of the doors, then covered and rounded them with a bit of ready mix. Just like that, the issue went away.

Higher the level of the floor inside the garage and fix a Threshold across the front of garage. If possible grade the driveway to run away from your garage. Best wishes.

See we’re the water is coming from in the rain ,then divert the water with bricks away from the garage you could dig a trench around the front and add gravel and the rain will just go in there into the ground.

If the entire floor is way too low, one can’t just mix up a few batches of concrete and trowel them down, sadly.

If this is the case and none of the above solutions are going to work,

then I would acid etch & clean the entire floor, rent a concrete mixer and pour 2” of concrete “topping” that’s made to go on top of other concrete.

It will need to be screeded to slope significantly to the door.

You’ll have to hire help for the screeding and it’s going to be messy.

You may need a French drain system installed from the rear of your home, around one or both sides of your home. Your situation may also require installation of a full width linear drain, near the garage door to catch any water at the front. This will require some excavation work, a great deal of 2B gravel, and some enginerring assistance to calculate the needed slope.
