Add Hardware to Cabinets
Our kids bathroom has come along way since I started updating it. The vanity was pretty basic and boring. There really was no style or charm to it, but with some easy updates it has elevated the look of the bathroom.
First, I painted the vanity, but really the hardware is what did the trick. I feel like the newly painted cabinet would still be pretty boring if I hadn't added the new pulls.
Isn't it amazing what a difference such a small item can do to a space?! It goes to show you should never skimp out on the little details in a space. It also can be a pretty inexpensive and a quick project. I ended up picking these modern black pulls. I feel like the simplicity of the style will stay current and stylish for years to come, so I won't need to swap them out anytime soon.
I love how the black pulls look against the dark green cabinets.
I am so glad I bought this. It made it so easy to figure out were to place the holes for the new handles.
I first marked the holes with a pencil, but ended up using a sharpie so I could see the mark better.
When drilling the hole make sure and drill straight or your holes will be uneven. I had to redo a couple holes because I didn't do this. Thank goodness for wood filler!

Can you believe what these cabinets looked like before?! I feel like I could have left the natural wood, and the pulls would have looked just as pretty on the cabinet. I hope this simple project has made you want to go home and add some pretty hardware to your own cabinets!
