To help protect your new cushion covers from staining and to make them more water-resistant, I would recommend you give them a good spraying with Scothguard spray.
It is a high quality brand name product.

Smart idea! I would also love that I could get something (fabric print wise) more to my taste versus mass production.
Wonder job, Make the cushions water proof by using Camp Dry. You can get this in any sporting goods store
