Hmmm, I started with paint by numbers.
If you want the “feel” of oil paints, but want it to dry faster and be easier clean up, then I would start with acrylics.
Use the same brushes, palette knives, etc.
Small canvasses are at the dollar stores. Probably paint palettes too.
