Painting headboard
I can't decide what color to paint a Jenny Lind bed using a salt wash technique. Suggestions are welcome and pictures too, I'm visual learner. Thanks as always hometalkers, I always appreciate you!

Here's some color ideas! Rather than use a white or black color--I LOVE the bright pops of color like turquoise, pink, red, blue, green, etc. I think it shows up the style of the Jenny Lind better than just black or white and bright colors draw your eye right to it when you walk in a room!

I am the opposite of Gk an I prefer high contrast and not a lot of bright colors. I feel calmer with more muted colors and a punch of bright accent color but it has to a minimal usage of the color.
I feel that bedrooms should be comforting and relaxing. I save the bright colors to be used in moderation in a more lively room where the goal is to stay awake. But then I suffer from sleep problems and need to make my bedroom as calming as possible.

The color depends on your wall colors, floor colors and also what type of decor you will use in the room. A soft robin;s egg blue is always a soft and a color you can add so many other colors with- also if you paint it black then distress it or whitewash over it that would be pretty as well
What do you like? I love blues and greens in my bedroom. Grays, blue and even white is classic and you won't tire of it. Good luck and stay safe!
A couple of years ago, I refinished a Jenny Lind bed using a salt wash method. We were renovating a bedroom in our house for our young grandson. I decided to take a risk and painted the bed a deep charcoal, it turned out beautifully. I painted the walls Sherwin-Williams 'Gray Mist' and the woodwork Sherwin-Williams 'Eider White'. I bought light blue-gray pin stripe bedding and light gray slub cotton curtains. The room has pine hardwood floors, I added a bright rug, bed throw and age appropriate wall art. The charcoal bed in contrast with the hardwood floors along with the light gray and blue colors and textures is lovely.
What does the rest of the room look like? What is the wall color and floor color? Do you want this to be neutral to be used in any room or does it need to go with an existing room?
Maybe a black?
