Is it ok to use terra cotta pot when repotting monkey cups?
Hi Margie, apparently terra cotta is not the best for repotting monkey cups, because salt can build up in the clay pots.
Pitcher plant care is relatively simple if you give them the right growing conditions. Always use plastic planters, as terra cotta ones will absorb salts too quickly. Once you have repotted the plants, place them in dappled sunlight or behind sheer curtains.
I would love to find more about it too so I am going to follow your question
here is some info and it says plastic is the best for repotting and not to use terra cotta
