I have this Hello sign and the gold is too close to the color of my boards. I am putting it near my front door on my potting bench. You all never fail me and I have been stumped for weeks. The house is beige and the door is white.
What color background would be pretty with this gold sign?
I’m going to put it somewhere on this potting bench.
Yes dark!!! Have you seen Rustoleum black stainless steel? It's beautiful. Rustoleum oil rubbed bronze would look nice too. spray paints are fast and look great!
I would go with a darker gray or darker blue. That will create a great contrast between the sign and the beige house and white door. If you want a pop of brighter color, you could go with a brighter blue or magenta
Perhaps choose a dark or bright color you love. If you have accessories nearby, use the same color so the "hello" will pop agains the neutral background.
I bought a platform bird feeder like this. I don't think plastic window screen will work as it has to be something that will allow water to go through.Where do I buy... See more
I have like three bouquets of roses from a wedding they're absolutely beautiful but I like to do something a little different than just put them in a vase I've heard... See more
You all have seen them I am sure. Usually metallic looking and multicolored. Is there a way to paint a bowling ball to look like these very expensive globes>?
How do you get glass gems to stay on your glassware I live in a hot city Texas and my gems melt in the hot sun what glue can I use that won’t meltThank you Cathy

A nice deep charcoal or navy would look fabulous!
So happy to help, Stacy! Happy painting. :)
A dark contrast color will help the word stand out and be more legible.

A nice, dark color would look great.
I think black!
What if, instead of painting a dark background, you paint the letters of the ‘hello’ a neon color such as neon pink and make it a faux neon sign?
A dark color you love......Purple?, Teal, Dark Green, Navy? Any would really set off the gold "hello".
Any dark color will work.

I vote for a deep green cause it’s on a potting bench!!!
Hi,
I would paint the outside frame Black or a dark colour to make the Gold stand out alone.
Best wishes
I'd do a pop of color - make it turquoise to match the birdhouses!
What about the same teal/aqua color like you have in this picture?
Apply feathers, Small pebbles, branches, bark

Hi Stacey: How about painting it a dark violet at the bottom, fading to a teal at the top, from corner to corner?
How about turquoise like the pretty planter in your picture?
