I've several size tote lids that don't have usable bottom containers. Can they be repurposed?
Wow! this is funny because I used them for "staging" a nearly empty house that was for sale. I applied spray adhesive and wrapped several of them in fabric to jazz up some walls, so that's my tip for you. They're lightweight and can hang from a tiny nail. Plant trays come to mind as well.
Here is some info for you
Hi Sam, Janice had a great idea, you can wrap them in fun fabrics and add some color to any wall. You could also spray paint them and put on vinyl decals for another way to make inexpensive art. I wonder if you painted them with chalkboard paint if they wouldn't make a fun chalkboard too?
The tops make great trays for carrying things, especially outside. You could decorate them, then coat with a clear waterproof spray. Use to carry garden tools and supplies. Use to pick up all the toys left outside. Several pots with plants can be carried at once. Use the top as a painting base— more paint won’t hurt it! The tops make a good base for child cooks-for food, slime or dying eggs. I put a clean dishcloth on one to protect my kitchen counter when chopping tons of onions, celery, peppers and even boiled eggs. This gives a large chopping area, and I just gather the corners of the cloth to move the chopped things to a bowl, frying pan, or boiling broth. Just was the lid in the sink and it’s ready again.
40 Clever Ways To Reuse Plastic Lids
use them for weeding, kneeling while weeding
wait for winter and use as sleds
I would use it as a tray
What size are the tote lids, and do they have handles protruding from the sides, or are they the snap down style (no handles)?
Try would be awesome!
I use them to paint and glue craft projects on. During the fall, I usually have several projects for craft shows going at once. While paint or glue is drying on one lid, I can move it and work with another project on another lid.
