Hi Donna your best bet would be to paint it. Make sure and clean it really well and lightly hand sand it with fine grit sandpaper. Than you can use an acrylic primer, paint and sealer and you'll be good to go!

Lightly sand the laminate, thenUse BIN or Kilz primer and latex paint.
If you want the darken the laminate woodgrain finish, you could very lightly sand and use gel stain.
