Olive oil splashed on semi gloss paint. How do I keep it from bleeding through?
You should be able to wash it with soap and water semigloss is washable.
Will do. Thank you Kmdreamer.
Try Dawn dish soap.
Thank you, Ann. I will have to wait for it dry. Dawn is the best!
I would wipe it up right away with a little water and soap on a wash cloth.
Thank you, Carrie. I’m waiting for it to dry.
Just wash it straight away with soap, It should only seep through if it sits for long periods of time.
Hi Lisa. I don't think the olive oil will bleed through. Wash it off asap. Use a damp cloth and liquid dish soap. Good luck Lisa.
I wouldn't wait for this to dry the sooner you can clean this up the better.
Dawn soapy water wipe
Wash it off with blue dawn dish soap and warm water. Semi gloss paint is washable.
Buy some Stain Sealer from the DIY store to paint on. Let it dry and then re-paint item. Stain should not come through again.

Hi Lisa, hope this helps you out, remember to be patient while you are working on it,
Baking soda. Make a paste of three tablespoons of baking soda with one cup of warm water. Work the paste into the grease stain. Gently rub the area with a nylon scrubber until the stain disappears
Something like baking soda or flour will help soak up the oil.
