Any idea how to give a new look to these old coffeee tables set ?
I cant see a photo, did you add one ?
Do you have a photo to share so you can get the advice you need?
Can you give an answer instead of asking a question?
You could paint them, Use decoupage, Stencil, Spackle them and then paint, Give a faux wood look, Tile the tops or use Glass drops. Add a piece of art to them. even patchwork them with fabric. Freehand draw on them with Sharpies etc. Hope that helps a bit.......
It depends so much on the materials and style of your set!
definitely add a couple of photos so we can help you better! Remember your finished piece will only be as good as your prep. So prep is the key!!! Sand- start with lower number sanding grit and then end with a 220. tack cloth, Vaccuum and then prime with a good primer. Steel wool in between to get that super soft finish. Paint with some nice paint and steel wool in between coats. It's a lot of work but you will love the effect of using steel wool in between. Good luck ! I was assuming you wanted to paint it.
Without a photo, my best suggestion is paint or a combination of stain and paint.
I have a whole furniture section on my blog and maybe one of the ideas there will inspire you - https://chascrazycreations.com/diys/re-purpose-up-cycle/furniture/
Danielle: here's how I did my coffee table...
Hi Danielle, here are some I did for a client... http://www.recreateddesigns.com/2016/11/solid-wood-vintage-tables/
Here is another one I did in a similar style. Hope that give you some ideas... http://www.recreateddesigns.com/2016/07/federal-style-coffee-table/
Paint is the easiest and cheapest way. You can also add contact paper to the tops for a patterned look!
A photo would help us to give you more accurate answers.
Without a photo, specific advise is difficult. Change the finish with either paint or stain. If there's glass, replace with stone.
I don't see the set but you could paint them all the same with Fusion mineral paint or chalk paint with a sealer to give them a whole new look.
