I have 8 backless stools and need an alternative design- ideas???
You can remove the upholstery and padding. Paint the disc, reattach it and use them as plant stands. One one each side of the door if you have the room or in the yard.
You could make little side tables for around the house by cutting wood out.
Here's some ideas here for you:
Build them up (one on top of the other) to make a plant or Ornament stand. Use two + a plant of wood to make a bench. Remove the legs and use to give height to a piece of furniture. One upside down and fit one on top(legs to legs) to form a Lantern. Cut the legs down and make a foot stool or a child's stool.....Have fun.
Take 3 and cut the legs at different heights. Paint or refinish them and group them together as a display for plants, etc. Cut the legs down on one to about 2 inches, refinish, and use as a display on your kitchen counter.
Hi! Maybe this will help
Plant stands, you could cover with a marine varnish and use outside, make a sundial, use as a table near a chair or sofa.
Hello. Possible ideas.....side tables, plant stands, depending on actual dimensions cut in half for wall mount bedside tables, elevated dog bowl holders, box over make a mini ottoman.
I saw a pic of one that they turned it upside down and put casters on the bottom and they put wrapping paper. they also made a cloth lining to hold other things. The stools they used were a wood seat and had I think 4 rungs holding the legs.
You could try this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nsuIuzLmEPA
like a bench?
a bench would be GREAT- how??
Do you want to upcycle them or keep them as stools and make them over?
Gotcha. Well I think that cutting the legs down to turn them into small side tables is a cute idea. Or you could cut them down further into plant stands or decor stands, like this: https://thefrugalhomemaker.com/2020/02/15/diy-plant-stand-from-upcycled-bar-stool/
But if you have many I would be tempted to chop one or two way down with legs maybe 2 inches high to make stands for your table. Very cool, very in style and normally very expensive.... variation of this: https://www.pinterest.com/pin/217298750757101083/
Cheap if you do it yourself. Have fun!
spray paint the legs
Refinishing them with stain, paint or even decoupage will give your stools an update. If you want stools with backs, I would replace them. Good luck and stay safe!
