Any sources for oven/range manuals or how to's?
I have a ge electric glass top range/oven and the console isn't responding. Only flashing colon where the clock goes. I can't find information on how to remove the front panel since the controls are on the front instead of typical rear panel.

Get the make and model numbers and call the company-GE-they have people standing by that can help you troubleshoot the problem you are having.
Before doing that, have you tried unplugging for a few minutes and then plug it in? Sometimes that is all you need to reset the appliance.
Before you do anything like removing a front panel, have you tried unplugging the oven and plugging it back in. Or it could have been a surge or a blown circuit which you could turn the circuit on and off for a recycle at the circuit breaker panel. Sometimes an oven won't do anything if the clock hasn't been set either.
Usually you can find the manual online by searching for the model number and brand of the appliance. If you can't find it, you should find a contact number on the website for the brand of appliance.
Look for the make and model on the range and google it. Most companies have their manuals available online.
The brand and model number is a good place to start. Most appliance websites have trouble-shooting guides.
Go online to General Electric's website. Enter your model number. You should be able to find specific instructions as well as parts manual. I have a range by them and had to do this with an "as is display" model I purchased. I was shocked at how detailed the site is and how inexpensive the parts were.
Hello. I would suggest contacting the GE one 800 customer support assistance and go from there. Usually they can provide you to where a service manual might be downloaded or even help solve your problem.
If you go to a reputable online parts store, they often have techs on hand to help you with questions or videos. We've used them before. Very helpful if you can't get in touch with GE for help.
you can google the make and model of your stove and give a short description of the problem and you will find a lot of valuable info and even youtube videos to show you how to fix it
also, manuals for your stove can be found online using model and serial number -
You can google the manufacturer with the serial number of the oven. You may be able to find it.
Hello Vilaskafre, if the colon is flashing, it is likely in the middle of a change, maybe someone pushed the clock set button or something, try to hit "cancel" or "reset" or just unplug for about a minute then plug it back in, hopefully resets itself. You can also try to google the brand and issue to see if it is something that is a common problem.
I always google the "manual for (name of brand and model #) to find the manual. You can also go to the manufacturers website to find them online.
Contact the Machines maker and ask for a manual. They will probably ask for a Serial Number from the back of the machine. If not try eBay!
