How can I make something out of old dinning room chairs?

I have some dinning room chairs that I don't need or want anymore. What can I make out of them? I hate to throw away the wood.

I have seen some great projects like benches, planters and even shelves made from them. If they are still in good shape, maybe someone else would benefit from them? Good luck and stay safe!
Convert the seat to hold a flower pot.
Hang on the wall for shelving.
These are two ideas I have seen in the past on this site. You could also paint with an exterior paint and use them on your porch. I hung onto a couple and have them for extra seating when we have company.

How many do you have. ONE - Add Arms and Upholster, or Cut off back and Use Base to make a Side Table. If TWO - Screw them together - face to face with backs on the outside. and then upholster to make a Seat for the bottom of the bed. If THREE - Screw them Side to Side and make a Bench. (If hard wood they could go outside in the garden), Add Arms if required.. If FOUR - Cut the backs off and make a square coffee table with a new top. Use the Chair Backs to make a Headboard! If FIVE or SIX Make a Tree Seat by screwing them together in a round . Hope that helps!
