I've seen quite a few where they used fingernail polish. I'm unsure how that will hold up over time. Also, contact paper or decoupage. Again - with moisture it might now be a long term solution.
Would be helpful to ask in the form of a sentence. You can't paint them, glue on material, scraps of tile and grout them. Stripe them with paint, dribble paint on them spatter paint on them. Add metallic paint in rows by taping off each color. We aren't sure what you want to achieve and if they are indoor or outdoor.
