There are several products made for removing oil and grease stains from concrete. Some are environmentally safe. Follow the label on the bottle. Use a stiff-bristled push broom to do the actual scrubbing. This will save your knees and back.

We just used Rustoleum's Garage Flooring kit on our cement basement floors. Not the easiest or the cheapest but it was an AMAZING upgrade.

There are paints and stains that are designed to coat concrete floors. Oils and grease need to be cleaned first.

You could also purchase garage tiles, Costco sells them as well as some auto stores.

Clean and etch the concrete, then stain it. It will be much less upkeep and peeling issues than paint.

My advice depends upon where you live. IF you live where there is very little snow & ice, I'd suggest simply painting and maybe add some sand to the paint. IF you live where it is hot and dry a solution might be Rustoleum's Rock Solid. It is a 2-part epoxy and provides a smooth shiny surface that truly is "rock solid" and very easy to clean and keep looking new. It, however, would be slick if it were to be wet with melting snow & ice. It comes in several colors and is available at Home Depot, Lowes, and likely also on Amazon. Prep instructions on on the Rustoleum site.

My son-in-law applied this in their garage and chose red but it turned out more orange beause of the grey cement beneath.
