Painting a mirror, redo
Dear home talk, I have a large mirror with plastic looking sides along the four corners, I would like to tape up the mirror part and paint the corners, it is gold but has aged, what kind of gold spray paint can I use?
Hello. I prefer the rust oleum spray paint products they have some very nice metallics in their line.
These are the 2 spray paints I would use:
You can use any brand that is suitable for plastic.
There is also a metallic rub that is oil based, really easy to apply and can be used to either cover completely, or give a rustic burnished look. I have used it on picture frames in both silver and gold. It comes in a variety of metallic colors....rose gold, copper, gold, silver.....
You can use any spray paint that works on plastic. I like Rustoleum and Krylon both.

Are you ab)le to remove the mirror to paint it? That will be so much easier! There are so many gold paints - it depends on if you'd like an aged or new gold look. If you end up choosing one you don't love - you can get a set of rub n'buff and adjust the colors. :)
Hi Rosetta, Can you remove the corners? If so, it will make it much easier. You can use any kind of gold paint or spray paint that you like the colour of. Be sure to clean it off well with soap and water first. It sounds like your mirror is the same as one I redid here... http://www.recreateddesigns.com/2017/03/make-details-pop/
