I've read that Krylon spray paints and sealers are non toxic when try, so I plan to seal the pot and sauce with Krylon so it will hold water.
Use a large leaf as a mould or fill a pair of rubber gloves with concrete and lay in a bowl to make shape or dig a hole in the ground and use that as a mould by lathering it with the concrete, making sure it will be thick enough to be able to remove safely when thoroughly dried out. Have fun......

There are also several other materials (that might be easier to use) to make a DIY bird bath if you'd like to give that a try.
