Hello Roseanna,
Not a good idea, best to place the mosaics on as is, maybe using thicker adhesive tile fixative to even the surface out a bit. Best wishes.
I wouldn't try it. I'd be afraid that the cement wouldn't hold up to use.
Hello could you post a picture of your sink so we can see the depth of the depressions you are describing? I would think epoxy putty or possibly Bondo might level out the surfaces but I’m not sure without seeing the photo of the uneven nature.
Roseanna: Oh boy... I've had those sinks. I would not try it. Spend the time and money elsewhere in your bathroom... new towels, shower curtain, etc. Maybe mosaic a bowl for the countertop... for toothpaste, make-up etc.
Hi Roseana: I really do not think that is a good idea. Go ot Habitat for Humanity or an overstock distribution center and buy some new sinks or vanity tops. They sell them for less money than the supplies you would need to "try" and fix the sink they way you would like. If the sinks are in decent condition I agree with Nan about sprucing up the bathroom with new accessories or maybe painting the bathroom a different color for a change in the room.
I agree, if you plan on doing a mosasic anyway I would just run to habitat for humanity or a salvage depot and pick up a smooth sink. I picked one up for only $20 for my guest bathroom.
Dont try it. Get a different sink instead.
Time to go shopping for a new sink! There are many beautiful ones out there. Maybe a mosaic counter top?
I would not think using mosaic tiles or glass pieces would hold up well in a sink that is used often and then there is the cleaning issue to be sure it is not holding bacteria- just fill it in with bondo then paint the sink
Ultimately it all won't stick to your sink's surface and considering it's a sink with lots of water usage, that will speed the mosaic's untimely end. You might seek out a new sink.
Hi Roseanna, I don't think you need to fill the dips as they should fill when u place the tiles, hope this helps you out,

Hi! I wouldn't try to fill them. Just work around them. I'm not sure if your project will hold up for frequent use, but, I have never done one like that so I can't say for sure. Unless the mosaic has a clear layer of epoxy over it, it might be hard to clean. Good luck and stay safe!
Just start doing the mosiac and when you grout it will all even out.
Nope won't hold. Even the mosaic won't last with constant water contact
What kind of sink is this.
Here is a video of a sink someone added mosaic https://www.google.com/search?client=firefox-b-1-d&q=how+to+mosaic+a+sink#kpvalbx=_XK0yX7r5L4O4ggeKkaqYDw45
