Paint That Thinks It's Fabric! Can This Be True?
Hi Igor, you can definitely paint fabric. How you paint it will change slightly depending on what type of fabric it is. I love using Annie Sloan Chalk Paint for fabric. There is no latex in it so it adheres were to fabric and basically stains the fabric a new colour. Remember to wet down the fabric before painting and add a lot of water to the paint to thin it out. How to Paint Upholstery Fabric With Chalk Paint
Hi Igor. If you want to paint upholstered furniture, you should work in small sections at a time. Annie Sloan's Chalk Paint would be a great product to use on this project. You can use one paint brush for this entire job. Use the brush to wet a section. It's OK to completely saturate the section. Then paint on a mixture of one part paint and three parts water. Next rub the section with a clean cloth. By the time you're done with the last small section, you can go back to the first one and apply another coat of paint/water. Rubbing the fabric with the clean cloth afterwards will keep the fabric nice and soft. Apply as many coats until you achieve the color saturation that you want. Good luck Igor.
