DIY Painted Corkboards

Is anyone else wondering how school is going to work for our kids? We got through the end of the year, but I never planned on doing homeschool with the kids again. I’ve been cleaning out some of our old school supplies and making room for new stuff. I’ve had these little corkboards foverever and finally turned them into something the kids can actually use. These DIY Painted Corkboards are perfect for kids to add reminders, lists, photos and other important stuff.

You can find these round corkboards at most craft stores. I bought this 3 pack on sale a long time ago at Hobby Lobby.

I added large initial stickers to my corkboards so each kid has their own and there’s no fighting over them.

Section off an area with painters tape.

Paint your corkboard with craft paint.

Peel the tape and sticker off before the paint has a chance to dry all the way.

You can leave your corkboard as-is or paint the initials like I did.

I think it looks cute with the letter painted and you can always add color to the other half of the corkboard.

I love how these turned out. They are simple, but personalized and cute and a great way to help the kids (and myself) get organized.

I noticed nothing is pinned into the painted area, is it because it would chip off the paint so it would be better not to use that portion of the cork board?

This is such a cute idea for a kids room or a craft room. Hang a couple of your favorite pics, necklaces, etc. LOVE IT.
