Is your granite sealed? That might be something to know before we offer suggestions if it is sealed and polished—have you tried alcohol? I often keep a box of medical alcohol wipes - cost $1-2 handy for such occurrences. Also a magic eraser might help. Hand sanitizer might be something else to try since is etoh based. I often use hand sanitizer to remove spray paint on my hands

Additionally the alcohol wipes can sanitize your phone and tablets.

    I hope this helps

Hi! I am assuming you already tried your granite cleaner. I recently had a mark that was yellow and I had no idea what is was. I made a baking soda and water paste I applied. It took three applications before it lifted out. Depending on what type of marker it is, go to the manufacturer's website and find out what solvent works to remove it. I would dab it only on the mark, blotting it as I loosened it. You could also check with a local stone shop asking how they could remove it without damaging the stone. Good luck and stay safe!

Never, ever use vinegar on granite, as you can etch the stone.

Hello Angie6s, hope this helps you out,To remove permanent marker from a granite countertop or any other natural stone, you can also try applying toothpaste, aerosol hairspray or a commercially-sold magic eraser to the spot and buffing gently. Once the stain is removed, rinse with cool water.

To clean granite you definitely can use acetone, the kind you get in the hardware store not nail polish remover. Put it on a microfiber cloth and rub gently. When clean, Use alcohol to bring beck the shine. A stone fabricator told me to use this ONLY for granite

. Granite (or any counter-top) shine/cleaner ~ Take a spray bottle, fill it about 1/8th full with rubbing alcohol, add a drop of Dawn dish washing soap, a few drops of scented oil (optional, but makes it smell so good), fill the rest of the way with water, shake together, and you’re good to go! It makes your granite (or any counter-top) shine and feel so smooth at a fraction of the price
