Turns out there are a lot of things you can do with cloth napkins like recover chair seats or make new wall decor. I did both.

I spotted some fun napkins at Tuesday Morning and immediately knew what I would do with them. Repurposing and thinking outside of the box is one of my favorite things.

This bar stool needed a new seat cover. The old one was nice but I was ready for a change. The new look is bright and cheerful.

Select Napkins For Project

You will want to select napkins that coordinate with your decor.

The design and colors of the napkins caught my eye right away. I decorate with bold colors like these!

Prepare The Napkins

Like all packaged items the napkins had a lot of creases that needed to be ironed out before using in the project.

Remove The Chair Seat

Next remove the fabric seat from your project chair, bench, or whatever.

Turn the chair upside down and remove the screws holding the seat in place.

Wrap the napkin around the seat and use a heavy duty stapler to staple the napkin to the seat.

Re-attach the seat to the chair.

You can see a complete tutorial on how to recover a fabric seat on the blog here.

Make Coordinating Wall Decor

Did you notice the decor on the wall above the chair? Of course you did.

Let me show you how I made those. Two DIY projects just for you.

Remove Back From Photo Frames

The pair of wall decor I had hanging in the dining room had been around for a while.

Time to change out the prints with the cloth napkins.

Prepare Napkin For Framing

Cut the napkin to size and tape it to the back of the mat using clear tape.

Be sure and stretch the cloth napkin tight.

Place Napkin In Frame

Once you have the napkin placed in the mat place the mat and napkin into the frame and hang.

How pretty are those napkins now. What other projects can we make with cloth napkins?

How about using them to make a kitchen window valance? I made a valance using an old shower curtain. You can see it here.
