If you stripped the paint off and are back to bare metal. You should be able to use a clear sealer on it.
Make sure you wash it down so the clear coat will adhere

I want it to be like it was when I bought it and I am not sure I stripped off the galvanized part.
Are you going to use it as a stock tank or another use?
Are you trying to remove the paint you added?

May have to have it re- galvanized - sent away! or you buy new!!
do you have a pic? Might be able to help you better and understand your question.
There are special sealers for this kind of metal. I would inquire at the hardware store.
