How to hide the back of the stove in an opening?

Hi Christy, How large is the opening? Do you mean a gap from the back of the stove to the backsplash area? Or do you mean you have an oven without a wall behind it.

If it is the first case, maybe you could build out the backsplash, so there is less of a gap.

I agree with the idea of a small pony wall. Maybe you could also build a shelf instead of a wall for extra storage?

Add a covering the same height as the stove leaving room for either the gas pipe or the electrical plug. Not sure what your set up looks like without picture. Build a frame out of 2x4's and attach to the flooring. Cover with beadboard, or wood.

Could you use a decorative Fire Guard? or a screen, or maybe a piece of suitable furniture suitably placed.

Build a half wall. It could be very simple as 2x4s with plywood or drywall.

You can place a shelf there - something metal perhaps.

You could put a piece of wood.or sheetrock as long as it is not on the stove it self.

A sheet of metal works, you can even paint it.

You can attach a metal panel to it. Small machine screws.

Could you send a picture? What view needs to be hidden? Top, back, sides?

This is a cooking stove, yes?

What kind of opening is it? Like the turn of a counter and the stove is seen? There should be a panel on the other side that matches the cabinetry.
