The easiest way I’ve ever made a desk was to take two file cabinets and put a piece of countertop across them. It can look good too!

I took two 2-drawer filing cabinets and a piece of laminate countertop for a quick desk. The laminate was an odd size so it was really cheap. The cabinets provide built in storage.

Attach 4 x Hairpin metal legs to a flat piece of timber or board using screws. Available online or in DIY stores.
