I need help in getting a fitted sheet back on my bed.I stripped the bed to wash everything & the bed is up against a wall & I can't move it ! I just need to get to 2 corners on, the rest I can reach. It's a small room with a lot of furniture in it, not much room, small Levittown back room if your familiar with the capes. Any ideas of how I can manage this. Last time I'm washing my bed linen'sLOL ! Thanks E 1

Pull the mattress up over the footboard to drag it away from the wall & then lift a corner at a time.

You only need to pull the mattress, not the whole bed. Slide it off the bed a sufficient distance away from the wall to give you access that side. Lay the fitted sheet on the mattress and fit the sewn corners over all four corners of the mattress. With the fitted sheet installed, slide the mattress back into position.

slide the mattress down a little, then tip up the top corners to slip on the fitted sheet. You can then push the mattress back and do the same on the other end.

  • I agree with the others, see if you can just lift the mattress a bit to squeeze the corners on.

I agree you should be able to slide the mattress back so you can reach those corners. I have a bed in a corner as well and that's the only way I've been able to get it done :)

Try sliding it just a couple inches so that you can lift the corners to put the sheet on

My parents bed is like that and they are elderly so I have to change theirs. I crawl across the bed fold the corner of the mattress "up" so that I can put the fitted sheet on that corner and make sure it is all the way under the corner. Repeat on the other corner against the wall. Then I crawl off and pull as tight as possible to get the other two corners.
