Glass globes come in all shapes and sizes and can be repurposed rather than tossed. I created a ghost candle topper for Halloween and it couldn't be cuter!

The adorable ghost I created for this project came from a glass globe like this one. When we swapped out the hanging light in our kitchen we saved the pieces. You never know when they will come in handy.

I gave the globe a quick coat of white chalky paint. It is important to only give it a quick, light coat so the light will show through the glass. If your globe is frosted, you can skip this step.

The globe fits perfectly on top of a jarred candle.

The next step is the face. I used a paint stick sharpie to make 3 ovals on the globe. You can make any kind of face but I'm choosing to create a ghost face. You can also use a paintbrush and black paint if you don't have a sharpie paint stick available.

When you light the candle it gives off a beautiful glow and the ghost lights up the room.

This is very cute. You could use smaller shades to put over smaller candles or tea candle with no fire. Also some canning jars today are like cut glass, looks good with the fake tea candles.

what ever floats your boat . 🤗
