I vacuum and use a hardwood floor cleaner with a reusable microfiber mop. I don't polish the floors as that would make them too slippery. Avoid Murphy's Oil Soap as it dulls wood over time.

I would mop like always, then take a dust mop put some pledge on it and go over it but it does make it slippery.

It will depend on the finish that was used on the floor when it was laid. Mine have a polyurethane finish on them and I mop with 2 gallon warm water, 1 cup apple cider vinegar, 1/2 tsp blue dawn (wrung thoroughly). That cleans and keeps them shiny but a couple of times a year I run my Shark steam mop over them and then spritz with OrangeGlo. For day to day, I use a microfiber mop that is similar to a swiffer but you just throw the pad in the wash instead of replacing.
