Hi Rosie, yep that should work just fine!
Yes, you can!
Hi Rosie, You shouldn't have a problem at all using the highlighters on canvas. Have fun!
Sure! They may not read as bright as on paper but they'll definitely work.
They will work best if canvas is gessoed first.
Check out these canvas shoes!

Yes, they'll work just fine.
In my experience, highlighter markers fade away too easily so it wouldn't do well over time.
Try them on a small project first. If you like the look, go for it! Good luck and stay safe!
What is your project, and what are you trying to achieve by using the colored highlighters?
How will the canvas be used when the project is finished?
Hi , just gesso it first and it should be fine
Sure it probably does. I would test it on the back of the canvas that won't be seen to make sure. Is this a pre-made white canvas (already gessoed?)...then it will work. If this is natural canvas that you stretched yourself, you would need to gesso it. good luck.
Just letting my granddaughter do her name and some designs and then poking holes in it and adding lights so she can display it in her bedroom.
Thank you everyone for your help!! Have a wonderful fall!!
You can try
Yes.
Highlighters will bleed if the material gets damp from humidity. I would use a permanent marker made for fabric.
