Hi Nora: What is it you would like to do with your Armoir? Paint it? Strip it? If you want to strip it, I'd use Citristrip. If you want to do anything else, please give us a bit more information. Thanks.
Please ask in the form of a sentence. We don't know what you want to do. Refinish, paint?
Chalk painting is the easiest as it requires little to no prep, dries fast and give a beautiful impact when done. Sand edges for antique look or burnish edges with antiquing wax.
If you want to change the look of your armoire, I recommend a product called Citristrip to strip off any paint, varnish, or wax. Once you get it stripped down, you can change the whole look of it with stain or paint with color of your choice.

What is your question? Do you have a pic? Do you need help with how to re-do an armoire?
They can be refinished, painted,and/or repurposed as new storage. One idea is to make it into a coffee bar.
I'm not sure if you're wanting to update one? Here is a post to all my furniture projects that might help you - https://chascrazycreations.com/diys/re-purpose-up-cycle/furniture/

You can convert to a pantry, coffee bar, or entertainment center.
A question would be helpful. Not mind readers.
