Lemon juice or vinegar applied to the "ring" is the easiest way to deal with your problem. Pour a lot of either one into the toilet and let "sit" for 1/2 hour or so. Then scrub vigorously with a brush. This may need to be repeated if the stain has been there a while. Another option is to purchase a pumice stone (available in the cleaning aisle) of most any store. Then use the stone to lightly scratch the deposits away. Be caeful not to sratch the porcellain. I have a water softener and still deal with this problem. Often at night I'll pour a cup of bleach into the toilet water and then scrub with a toilet brush in the morning. It's a continual battle!
Boy, do I know that!
The only guaranteed thing that has ever worked for me is The Works Toilet Bowl cleaner.
Hi! ...this, used gently will work wonders! Then clean toilet weekly to prevent build up
Pumice stone works for me. Just remember to keep the stone wet.
I use a few squirts of dish liquid and vinegar. Foam it up with a toilet brush and let it sit for about two hours. The suds suspend the vinegar above the water line
