Hi Clara, I would go with a 36" and center it on the window, that will leave some edge to still be able to see through.
Hello. It might depend on the viewing preference. The outside view vs the indoor view. Perhaps making a newspaper or craft paper template could be useful for a visual example...an idea too replicate of the size wish to choose for your window placement.
Hi Clara. I would go with a 36" wreath. Big wreath for a big window. I think this size would still give enough room on each side to let light in and still be able to see out. Good luck Clara.
Hi Clara, hope this helps you decorate your window for Christmas.

Hi there,
Buy one or make one you like, then if it is too small add to it. It doesn't have to be round , it could be any shape. You could make or buy two identical wreaths and tie them together (one under the other etc.) Have fun and make it unique!!
The wreath should not be larger than the window, otherwise it will give a very overdone appearance. With that in mind, it is a matter of your preference. 48" will do that very well, if you'd like more drama, then maybe consider a matching garland above the window.
Another thought is to put a matching pair on bows on the side of the window.
I would think it is all down to personal choice.
I agree that it's a personal choice, but here is a link that might help you:

Leave 6 inches on either side of the window...which would give you a 58 inch wreath. I would err on slightly smaller rather than larger if that helps.
You need to have 6" at least on all for sides so it will depend on the window height and width. I would probably hand 2 wreaths on a window that is 70" wide.
In my experience folks consistently put up wreaths that are too small for the size of the window, resulting in it looking itty bitty and cheap. If in doubt, go larger, especially if you want it to be seen and appreciated from the curb/sidewalk viewpoint.
I agree a beautiful BIG wreath looks much better than small ones.
I'd get as large as possible. 48 to 54".
Bigger is always better
