I am very Worried If my mom see's she will kill me
Uh Oh, read through this link, it also has videos on how to fix recliner problems:
Is it the remote cable that is damaged? Do you have a picture?
I found this link that might help you:
Here's a link with step-by-step instructions:
What is wrong with it? If it frayed, you can cover it with a cable cover from Amazon.
There are numerous u-tube videos online.
Hi Mark, hope this helps you out
The best thing is to honest with your mom. I am sure she will be upset but if this is her furniture she deserves the truth. Besides if you fix this and it is not correct the chair could be a safety problem.
I agree with Mogie. Not sure how the cable got broken but I'm sure your mom would appreciate your honesty and then you can both be a part of resolving the problem. You'll feel better immediately and your mom will likely be proud that you took responsibility for the problem, which in fact may not be your fault.....only you know that.
Hi Mark. I agree with above comments. I'm a mom and I would really like it if my son informed me that something broke. That way I know it would be fixed right. Mark, don't try to fix it yourself. You could make matters worse. Be honest and do the right thing. Go to your Mom.
Mark, Mark, Mark. What DID you do? :) Probably nothing and it just broke. It happens. Tell your mom and tell her that you are going to do your best to fix it. Then, take a look at this site. It has a lot of pictures, and left click on one of them and it will give you loads more information. Look at them all, everyone has shortcuts that others don't know about. But, be up front with your mom as to what happened, if you know. Letting her 'discover' the broken cable is not a good idea and she will suspect you and lose a little trust in you. You most certainly don't want that.
There should be an 800 number to call for customer service and it's best to call them and ask them about the chair- don't do anything that will void your warranty and look online at the chair mfg to see if it has any ideas why it works like this
