Hello Maureen,
Make a picture - sketch a scene and then use the lengths (cut to suit) to stick on in place of paint. Stick on the sides of Plant pots to decorate. Make Tassels or pompoms. use to decorate a picture frame etc....Have fun.

Hanging Tassel Garland
Pom poms?
Use them to decorate packages. Ties for small garden plants. Cord ties. Bows for diy hair clips. Tie them together and tie your newspapers up ( but let them go if they scream)!! Loops around hangers for another hanger or accessories for outfit planning (scarf /socks/necklace). Good luck!
Tassles or pom poms.
You could make a variety latch hook rug, grouping colors together for a tie dye effect.
How about hot pads?
Could you use it as filling for a homemade pillow?

Hi Maureen. Before I start, this is going to sound crazy. My sister lives on a farm. She spread her left over yarn pieces around several trees in her yard. The birds got them and used them in making their nests. The yarn actually help insulate their nests. Who knew? It's crazy but it works. Good luck Maureen. I hope you are well.
Hello I would consider making decorative tassels for a throw.
Donate them to a elementary school, especially one in a less advantaged area. Teachers will make good use of them.
More often than not, there is just no budget for crafts resources, and often teachers pay for materials out of their own pockets.
