Can you share a picture so we can see what you are using?
I agree a picture will help. And what is on the product label on the toner - does it say it works on laminate?
Hi there, when you say toner do you mean paint or primer? They make very specific paints just for laminate but if you lightly sand it a decent paint and primer combination should last.

To give you proper guidance more information is needed.
A picture showing both the toner and the cabinets would be helpful.

Hi Lillian,
Only if you use something like ESP on first (Easy Surface Preparation) Gives something for the paint to adhere to. Then finish as you wish.
Prep is the key to any project. I'm not familiar with toner. Is it like glaze or paint? Laminate can definitely be painted. Clean first with a product like Krudkutter. Then try your product in an inconspicuous spot. Depending on its consistency it may work on the laminate. If it a type of paint, prime the laminate after sanding it enough to scuff the surface. It will help paint adhere. Good luck and stay safe!
Scuff with fine steel wool them clean with TSP and it should adhere.
Do you have a picture you can share?
It depends on what type of paint or medium youโre using, whether it will stick or stay. Youโll need something that will adhere to laminate.
Hello,
No, not unless you use a special primer for Laminate , such as ESP!
