Quick, Easy and Inexpensive DIY Christmas Gift Bags

These Christmas gift bags take only a few minutes to make. And they're a great way to recycle old Christmas cards or wrapping paper!

Start With Simple Craft Bags

I like to use white and brown craft bags. You can get them at any craft store.

Gather Up Christmas Cards

Gather up all the old Christmas cards you've received over the years. Hopefully you kept them! If not, maybe you have some new ones that you never sent.

Glue A Card To A Bag

Cut the back off of the card. Use a glue stick or Elmer's glue and a paint bush and just glue the card front to the front of the bag.

Or Cut Out An Image From A Piece Of Wrapping Paper

This one is easiest with larger images on the paper like this poinsettia. Look for paper that has pine cones, poinsettias, amaryllis or even a Nativity scene that will fill most of the front of the bag.

Glue The Image To The Bag

Just glue the cutout to your bag and you're done!

Make A Snowflake

Cut out a simple snowflake from a sheet of white paper and glue that to a bag.

Use A Piece Of Wallpaper Border

This is a piece of wallpaper border. It's just a sample I took out of a discontinued wallpaper book. I don't think I'd ever put it on my wall but on a DIY Christmas gift bag?? It's perfect!

Or a page from and old Christmas story book
