Dollar Store Decorated Glassware
I love taking a dollar store item and make it fancy! Add a little etching and vinyl to the glassware and you have something amazing! Let's learn how to make them.
I started with a few different Dollar Tree glass containers, all can be used for candles, but they ca also be used as candy dishes, shot glasses, or for décor items. I also grabbed my etchall etching crème, black vinyl, my ghost SVG file from my store, and my Cricut to cut the shapes.
I used my NEW Haunt It! collection of SVG files to make these cutie ghost stencils out of vinyl out on my cricut. Save the little ghosts, we will use them on small glasses!
Apply the stencil to the glass container and line the outside with the extra transfer tape to make a barrier.
Apply the etching crème to the stencil making sure to apply a ton of crème, which is no issue since the crème is reusable!
Let the crème sit for 10 minutes to let it etch and then wipe it off and place back into the container. Wash the crème off the glass in your sink with soap and water, do not remove the stencil until after the crème has all been washed off.
Add on the vinyl eyes and enjoy your glass candy jar - or what ever you wish to use it for!
Now I have the left over vinyl ghosts I can create with, so I added them to some old etched jars I had left over from a candle project I made a couple years back, so I added the vinyl ghosts to them.
I just love the look of these cute glasses, I can use them for candles, votives, or as shot glasses!
