How can I dry out old paint I have a lot of it?

How much? You can give it away. To dry out, just take the lids off and just let them dry out, then they are not considered hazardous waste and in some areas can be tossed in the trash. Just keep in a safe place that kids, pets and wildlife cant get into them. When I need to get rid of usable items, I post on Nextdoor.com and the items are typically spoken for within 24 hours.

Yup leave the caps off. I am assuming this is craft paint in little tubes or something, but are you talking about wall paint in paint cans? If it is already used wall paint, you can transfer paint into containers and label. This is so much easier to deal with than having paint cans laying around.

You can leave the lids off and let it dry or mix in some kitty litter.

Not sure why you would want to go this but if it is for disposal, check with local fire department for disposal days to safely get rid of it. We have it in our area a couple years f times a year where you can take items that aren’t supposed to be thrown in the trash.

You should be able to just bring your old paint to the recycle place to get it safely disposed of, if that is what you are trying to do with your old paint

You can pour in some concrete to help dry it out. But sometimes your local waste management will have days where they take old paint or chemicals and process them for you.

If you leave the top off it should dry up pretty quickly. Also you can add cat litter to it. However, if you're trying to dispose of it, often the recycle yards don't want it dried up, they'll take it as is.

Call your local dump/recycling center, and most have a day each year when you can bring in old paint and other chemicals to safely dispose of it. I have found if the can is almost empty simply removing the lid in the garage and it will dry out.

List it under 'free items' Craigslist.com or Kijiji.ca

Just open the lid and let it dry. The sun will dry it quicker.

try adding sawdust to the paint.

Open it up and pour some cat litter in it.

Check a few local home improvement stores near you, many will accept paint to recycle.
