Home Office Organization 🌻

We planned to sell our house this past spring but the virus had other plans for us. In preparation, to sell the house we removed lots of items from the office (4th bedroom) so buyers could see the space like a bedroom too. However, since our situation has change I started looking for home office organization ideas.

I had a difficult time using the office space without the necessary storage. It was inefficient at best. To further complicate things both of our children are sharing the space with me. Our daughter, Olivia, is a blogger too and she needs a space to be creative. 🌻

New custom built printer shelf

You can find all my office organization must haves HERE. 🌻

The rolling cart is full of papers and file folders that need a home. This is another underutilized area.

Therefore, I decided to build a shelf for the computer stand and add a higher electrical outlet to easily access it. 🌻

The binders on my shelf are mismatched and some are very worn so I am replacing all of them. 🌻

These labels, tabs, and pins are in my must haves for organization. 🌻

Some assembly required for this printer paper sorter/holder. 🌻

Plastic magazine and folder organizers. 🌻

Storage containers for office and crafting supplies. 🌻

Looking at this before photo you see the number one problem I had in this office. Working file storage was nill. 🌻

Message center organization

I needed a simple old-school message and note organization solution, therefore, I ordered a couple of cork boards and some fun push pins. 🌻

Cork board installed, desk organized and everything in its place. 🌻

The filing cabinets that are part of my son’s desk are full of files, but no room is available for new folders. He has to store his books and papers on his desk and floor. The photo below shows the area next to his desk. 🌻

This cork board is for my son's messages, etc. 🌻

My son’s deck area is organized and ready for another week of school – no more sticky notes on his shelf. 🌻

In the photo above you can see another area that was underutilized. 🌻

Remember those working files that needed a home? I am using my wall space to organize and store them. 🌻

I added a storage area for my daughter's Cricut mats. 🌻

This work space was a catch-all for any and everything. The pegboard was disorganized too. 🌻

Pegboard and drafting table after the organization. 🌻

The pegboard provides a place for everything within an arm's reach. 🌻

Olivia made the  gorgeous tray on her drafting table and it says it all. Living and working in this messy unorganized space has been stressful and I am ready for a change. 🌻

Kippi at Home is ready for a new week. 🌻
