I forgot to finish my query. I've been seeing homes decorated using non-traditional fall colors; I like it. Which color combos work best? I'm wanting to make a centerpiece and some pillows. Thanks for sharing your creative ideas!
Hi! I personally like the warmer colors this time of year, especially reds and corals. But, I have seen decor in blues and ivory that really are very elegant. Depending on your decor, any of these can work. For a centerpiece, I start with the main color and then find shades that go with it. You can't go wrong if you add in silver and/or gold!
Great idea, Cynthia! Thank you!
I like purple & gold or copper.
Sounds beautiful, Ann, thank you!
I love the new teal and white that I had seen. Dollar general had some pretty pumpkins and other decor in these colors.
I love teal, Kathy. Thank you!
Hello. Some of the current bloggers are using whites and chalk paints in the Decor options rather than the red gold and deep jewel tones that were formally popular
Hi Judy. I personally like more saturated colors at this time of year. I like maroon with forest green then add gold to the mix and it all comes together. I like pastel colors in the Spring.
Sounds beautiful! Thanks for your suggestions!
Lime Green, Scarlet, Acid Lemon, Aubergene and Chocolate Brown.
Wow! I would never have thought of that palette, but I can imagine it! Lovely!
Deep beautiful rich greens and silver.
Beautiful! I have always used deep shades of green, white and silver to decorate our home for Christmas. How nice if I could transition my fall decor to Christmas just by changing a few things out.
Pictures and ideas here!
Oh my gosh! Too many beautiful ideas to choose from, thank you!
Browns and whites will make a lovely fall color palette!
Thanks, Nan. I always love adding white to any color palette!
Gold ,dark tan ,olive ,brown
Thank you, olive green is a favorite of mine. I never thought about it for fall.
I’d seek out what the traditional colors are to eliminate them and then pick from what’s remaining and mix them up.
Thanks Becky, you make it sound easy.
Navy or olive green
Adrienne, I can imagine how those two colors would be beautiful for fall!
Hi Judy: Golds, browns, greens, yellows, reds, oranges, etc. are the traditional colours. I think reds, purples, indigos, dark greens, teals and any jewel tones would be nice. :)
Your non-traditional colors sound gorgeous! I love all of those colors, amazing!

Thank you, this post is lovely and gave me some great ideas!
This might be too traditional for you, but I went with a lot of dark fruits and apples in this decor: https://celebrateanddecorate.com/unique-decor-for-your-front-door-for-fall/
This is a blush and pink look: https://celebrateanddecorate.com/blush-fall-tablescape/" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank"> https://celebrateanddecorate.com/blush-fall-tablescape/
Thank you, Chloe. Your bountiful use of fruits and apples is very appealing; the combination of colors complement your fabulous front door color, perfectly!
I write about this in my blog. https://www.simplenaturedecorblog.com/refresh-your-living-room-for-the-fall-using-non-traditional-colors/
Thanks so much
I've been seeing dusty rose, pale green, cream, mauve and hot pinks for fall colors lately!
Thanks Carrie. A soft color palette for fall sounds pretty and cozy!
I'd go with spring colors. Blue, green, yellow.
White! White pumpkins with grays and tans are the way to have a "trendy" fall currently without orange!
I've seen a couple of articles and pictures about using a neutral fall color palette, I think it's an interesting approach to fall decor. Thanks, Maura!
I love a dusty purple color! Hree's my fall fireplace last year https://www.charlestoncrafted.com/fall-mantel-decor-with-purple-florals/
Morgan, your fireplace is stunning! Thank you!
Hi Judy, hope this link helps you out, I love these colors!
