This is my Mams footstool from ikea - we are doing up her house at the moment so the grey wasn’t working with the new colour scheme in the sitting room so I decided to recover it!!!

Before

i removed the cover

There’s a cushion which I also covered to match!!!

the foot stool is a foot wide - so I measured it up the side across the top and down the other side!!!

I’m using two lengths of the fabric!!!

Measuring
Iron

My mam loves ironing so this was her job to iron the fabric!!!

Fold the ends to form a hem so it’s nice and straight when it’s placed on the foot stool

Using staples to secure it!

I made sure it was fully fitted from one side to the other before stapling in place!!!

Close up!!

once one side is done, get the second length of fabric & fix it to the other side and across the top! Staple in place

So because you can see the staples I decided I’d put some buttons and pearls over them to make it more pretty!

My fave!!!!

Buttons and a glue gun my besties in crafting!!!

Apply glue over the staple & quickly put the button in place!!

I like to pick my buttons out first so I can be sure they are big enough to cover the staples!!

Here’s the pearls!!!!

And here it is finished!!!

the other side of the finished foot stool !!
